Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role by overseeing the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of material movement through the production cycle. This position involves working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure materials are available as per production schedules. The Warehouse Manager will also assist in resolving issues related to over shipments, shortages, among others.

Key leader in our logistics and supply chain operations.  ensuring the efficient, safe, and organized management of our warehouse facilities. In charge of oversee team of warehouse personnel and drive the optimization of processes to meet customer demands, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible of Warehouse Strategy and provide leadership and direction to warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient and safe material handling.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle.
  • Will determine material requirement(s) from engineers and production schedule.
  • Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance and compliance.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies.
  • Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations.
  • Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.
  • Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts.
  • Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.
  • Involves the planning, scheduling, and the overall monitoring of material movement through the system.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in logistics and warehouse management

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse operations, including staff supervision and process optimization.
  • Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to warehouse
  • Experience with international shipping and import/export processes.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
