$19+ per hour and $.50 per hour shift diff Full Time - Weekdays Mon-Fri 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm


Scope of Position:

  • This role encompasses the application of principles, practices, and methodology to ensure the integrity of manufactured products using plastic injection molding technology, and specifically to ensure that design specifications, performance acceptance criteria, and quality standards are met within a regulated ISO 13485 environment
  • The methodologies and practices include but are not limited to the following:

Design and process validations and qualifications

Incoming inspections

In-process quality testing and inspections

Special testing and inspections (e.g. for Engineering studies and product certification data)

Improvement and development methodologies, e.g. Lean, DMAIC (Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and PQA (Product Quality Architecture)

Primary Job Functions and Skills of the preferred QA Tech candidate shall include but are not limited to the following:

  • Follow written procedures and protocols for completing work
  • Use GDP (good documentation practices) for recording data
  • Ensure that the appropriate methods, procedures, protocols, and systems are properly executed, maintained, and updated for inspecting and testing raw materials and products, and for maintaining the proper performance of equipment
  • Provide feedback to the appropriate personnel (quality, engineering, and production) regarding results and if quality standards are met
  • Conduct inspections and tests and to confirm quality attributes, makes decisions regarding the quality of materials and products, and issues quarantines and quality alerts as necessary
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests using standard lab equipment such as calipers, analytical balances, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes, centrifuges, thermal cyclers, autoclaves, hand-held pipettes, and robotic pipetting systems
  • Communicate pass-down issues or tasks to the QA group
  • Conduct basic statistical analysis, with assistance
  • Participate in projects for cost-savings and 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain)
  • Participate in activities to support internal and external audits
  • Participate in activities to support CAPA and non-conformance investigations and actions
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Address routine problems
  • Recommend and implement actions for improving efficiency
  • Perform duties within expected timeframes
  • Good communication, confidentiality, and team-building skills
  • Collaborate with other personnel for resources, information, and assistance as necessary
  • Refer atypical or complex problems to others


Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of six months in a production or lab environment


Required Skills:

  • Requires moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and a familiarity with terminology and procedures.
  • Experience performing inspections of product to confirm quality attributes.
  • Ability to follow previously defined procedures.
  • Ability to propose and implement basic solutions to routine problems.
  • Experience referring atypical or complex problems to others and recommending actions to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to perform duties within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality.


Desired Skills:

  • Certified in Lean and Six-Sigma Quality Engineering methodologies. •
  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485
  • Experience working with plastic injection molded products.
  • Experience using standard measurement equipment such as calipers, scales, micrometers, optical comparators, microscope, etc.
  • Experience following written procedures and protocols for completing work and document work on controlled records
