Scope of Position:

The Training Coordinator designs, facilitates and leads ongoing training and skill development methods to both the manufacturing and leadership populations of the plant.



  • We develop an overall plant training system and implement training programs that directly impact measures like productivity, quality, efficiency, retention, lean principles, and environmental impacts.
  • Optimize training system through redesign or refresh of existing training materials, procedures, etc. to improve overall retention, safety behaviors, and application. Bring to bear new methods, and industry best practices
  • Work with the various plant functions to include quality, operations, warehousing, and maintenance to recognize developmental and retention opportunities
  • Build effective relationships with employees that will improve an employee’s likeliness to be successful; accomplished through strong manufacturing floor presence and ongoing engagement with front line supervisors and coordinators
  • Onboards hourly employees to optimally integrate into the plant
  • We present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
  • Development of Cross-Training Plan to address bottlenecks, resourcing and optimize overall staffing levels
  • Assist HR to develop development plans based on the needs of the workforce.
  • Bring to bear various assessment practices like surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, to regularly define opportunities for growth and development


Travel Requirements:

  • N/A Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
  • Typically 7 AM – 4 PM.
  • Flexibility required to accommodate interactions with manufacturing on all shifts.


Required Education:

  • AAS Degree or equivalent work experience


Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 - 3 years in training or development


Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact at all levels within the Organization!
  • Demonstrated process development for repeatable results and sustained improvement
  • Able to initiate and manage multiple tasks and projects as necessary
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook skills and ability to build digital training content
  • Ability to develop strategies & vision to compliment plant goals and objectives to achieve business needs through people
