Application Engineer - CALA HSDC AE

As a Datacenter Applications Engineer, you will play an important role in developing, optimizing, and selling fiber-optic connectivity solutions for data centers. With the rise of Generative AI, data centers require high-density fiber networks, ultra-low latency, and scalable optical solutions. This role requires technical expertise and close work with the commercial team, ensuring customer pain points are well addressed by Corning solutions and ultimately contributes to a stronger pipeline/revenue stream for the territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers (end user, integrators and distributors) to position Corning datacenter solutions into their connectivity data center infrastructure.
• Drive business growth by identifying opportunities in Cloud and AI-driven data center fiber connectivity.
• Design and implement next-generation fiber-optic connectivity solutions for AI/Cloud data centers.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations/training on fiber-optic solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging fiber-optic technologies designed for AI-driven network architectures.
• Provide technical consultation to clients on high-density optical cables and connectors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues affecting fiber connectivity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure customer requirements align with demands.

Experiences/Education - Required

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience or equivalent experience (exceptional case)
• Strong knowledge of customers and commercial practices
• Knowledge of Datacenter networks and products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
