Purpose of the Position:

 Support key account business with potential increased coverage.

 Support AE regional works.

 Provide application engineering support to customer expansion and business growth

 Execute technical engagement to maximum value services

 

Day to Day Responsibilities: Solve customers’ technical problems, seek technical collaboration opportunities

* Develop clear tech communication channels between Corning and assigned customers.

* Work with internal resources to develop approach.

* Ensures customer satisfaction through timely and effective technical problem resolution and technical service.

* Resolve/clarify disposition of returns for manufacturing/quality action.

* Establish strong linkage to account manager, customer service, commercial technology, supply chain, quality assurance, product engineering and product line management.

* Coordinate customer’s quality/technical audit at Corning. Define and deliver today's product

* Develop and document thorough understanding of customers' processes from a product, design development and manufacturing perspective. * Lead the promotion of Corning's technology advantages and capabilities. - Prioritize these advantages according to customer requirements and concerns.

* Propose customer specifications.

* Negotiate and close specs with customer (in close coordination with PL strategy)

* Conduct customer specification reviews.

* Defines and manages customer’s qualification plan

* Manage product modifications and/or redesigns per customer spec changes.

* Present customer issues at Region and Division's review meetings.

* Promotes Corning's value in product, process, and technical expertise through clear linkage to the customer's value proposition Identify future opportunities, realize customer technical roadmap and product roadmap

* Identify potential opportunities & risks with customer product & process migration.

* Lead process for Value Engineering & cost reduction initiatives at customer.

* Design and facilitate technical presentations on substrate properties, product & process innovations and technology projects.

* Lead regional roadmap process. - Understand 5-year technology and product roadmap with customers and how our roadmaps integrate to gain customer design-wins. - Effectively communicate / review roadmaps internally with subject matter experts Other significant responsibilities * As key technical liaison between customer and Corning internal, cultivate strong tech relationship with customers and drive internal alignment. * Network across all key positions that work to support customers.

 

Project involved with:

 Joint technical collaboration platform in that account, total solutions program, Beyond program…… Reporting Structure: Report to AE Manager on solid line.

Education & Experience

 Education

 Bachelor in semiconductor, electronics, chemistry, precision instruments, mechanical engineering, material sciences or glass science, optics, physics.

 Master’s degree is a plus.

 Experience

 5-8 years of working experience in Electronics, Semi-conductor, Display industry is preferred; Work experience in a role requiring extensive quantitative analysis, data interpretation and mechanical or optic experience is required; R&D engineer, Account Management, Product Engineering, Field Application or Quality Assurance experience is desired; B2B technical sales experience or work experience in a global company is plus.

 

Required Skills

 Knowledge - Sound knowledge of LCD/OLED display industry or semiconductor industry. - Extensive knowledge of customers' manufacturing processes and glass properties and how they interact. - Be familiar with LCD BLU/Module/Set design or reliability enhancement. - Have a good command of geometrical optics and application. - Understands and protects supplier and product value. - Good understanding of Quality Assurance. - Experience with Asian, especially the Chinese business culture.

 Skills - Ability to envision technical market trends and build appropriate roadmaps. - Ability to interact effectively with customers, and other industry leaders and represent Corning on technical issues. - Ability to interact effectively with internal groups to assure programs are in place so products meet customers' evolving technical requirements. - Ability to network throughout TFT-LCD value chain. - Strong hands-on trouble shooting, problem solving skill. - Good communication, organization, reporting, presentation skill. - Project management - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package. Including (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management)
