Purpose of the Position:                                                                       

 

Responsible for executing day to day payroll transaction processing utilizing ADP payroll system, as well as general ledger and tax processing and reconciliation for Hire to Retire Payroll Services of the Corning Shared Services Asia (CSS-Asia).  This role is required to maintain a high degree of quality, accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities also include maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP) and controls, and communication to business partners. HTR Associate is also expected to participate in internal/external audits and report distribution.

 

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

General Payroll Processes

  • Be responsible for Time and Attendance transactional processing and reconciliation
  • Independently process monthly payroll operation, including responsible for checking payroll correction and conducting payroll reconciliation. Keep closed and good communication with BU HR and ADP operation team
  • Execute regular and retroactive payroll transaction utilizing ADP payroll system, which may include extensive analysis
  • Process termination per regulatory and business requirements
  • Be responsible for bank payment
  • Implement Non-PRC employees tax exemption procedure
  • Coordinate with BU Finance Department to conduct cost center report and GL journal based upon monthly payroll
  • Participant in Standard operating procedure (SOP) development and maintenance
  • Assist in COE standardization in compliance with company policy and government requirement.
     
     
  • Assist with the management of lead improvements and actively participate on payroll related projects
  • Complete other tasks assigned by manager
     
    General Ledger
  • Balance, reconcile and process GL interfaces after each payroll.
  • Reserve for annual bonus – monthly accrual.
  • Resolve GL issues.
  • Report corrections to accounting for journal voucher entry.
     
    Tax
  • Process payroll related taxes, withhold and remit.
  • Process and reconcile monthly and annual regulatory tax reporting.
  • Prepare employee tax declaration reporting.
  • Contact for regulatory/compliance issues.
  • Evaluate tax data changes and update as appropriate. 

 

Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or Computer Science
  • At least 4 years HR or payroll related experience in multi-national company
  • Good customer service sense and attitude, good communication skill
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, high sense of responsibility and integrity
  • System knowledge preferred SAP, experience in ADP global view is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills essential and must enjoy working in a team environment
  • Fluent English in both verbal and written

 

Requirements: Required Skills              

      

  • Solid knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, statutory benefits/funds, leaves in Mainland
  • Payroll related tax and GL processing knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, especially to mass data processing
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, process-oriented and organized
  • Highly motivated, self-confident and demonstrate the ability to thrive and adapt to change in a fast-paced dynamic environment while protecting the confidentiality of payroll data
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), and a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work and communicate with individuals at all levels to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to act on initiative to meet objectives
