As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Using unique expertise in the fields of materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry and biology, the segment provides innovative solutions that improve productivity and enable breakthrough discoveries.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead data project from data collection, data engineering to data visualization deliverables. Transform operations to data process by understanding business requests.
  • Integrate multiple data sources and implement complex analytical models by utilizing advanced data analysis tools.
  • Work as a business partner to effectively communicate with internal customers, coordinate and resolve complex data issues.
  • Manage and optimize dashboards and reports based upon business requirements, include but not limit to,
    1. Monitor business metrics by product line, End customer, Distributor, Key account…..
    2. Channel inventory analysis
    3. Marketing survey analysis
    4. Margin% analysis
    5. Competitors analysis

  • Data mining of analysis reports and data insights output for stakeholders to well understand business dynamics and take actions accordingly.
  • Work with IT and vendors to build, maintain and upgrade Data Management System (DMS) to meet increasing data requests from business. 
     

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor degree or above of renown university. Major in Science and Engineering is preferred.
  • >5 years of working experiences in business intelligence or business analysis.
     

Desired Skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft excel, Powerbi and SQL Query. Python or Databricks knowledge are plus.
  • Database or system development project experiences are plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP or CRM system.
  • Extremely strong responsibility to ensure the accuracy of data. Be sensitive to data.
  • Cross functional communication skill and logical thinking.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese of Oral and Written.
