Day to Day Responsibilities：

• Participate in developing and implementing manufacturing processes decoration process, including screen printing, spray coating or other physically applications process on substrate surface for different products
• Lead/ support experimentation of process development for new production line of decoration process
• Lead/ support experimentation to drive fundamental understanding of decoration process
• Leading the effort for improvement of existing production line. ex. Cycle time reduction, quality/yield improvement, new product introducing. Identify low cost manufacturing opportunities that maintain the specified quality level
• ssist in performing root cause analyses of product failures and implement corrective actions. Provide decoration process support for new business opportunities.
• Define and analyze equipment performance, capability and requirements, co-work on stage 2-3 development/testing and stage 4-5 technology migration
• Work with research & development teams for new processes and product development and introductions.
• Transfer and scale up the technology to divisions and manufacturing plants with full implementation of training and documentation systems (Standard Operation Procedures, Process Set-points, FMEA, MSDS, Rosh and Training)
• Assess risks of chemical application in engineering, technologies and manufacturing. Recommend suitable substitutes for related industrial application.
• Study correlations of process and product performance.
• Be consulted for the information of process control and lesson learned regarding to projects experiences and backgrounds. Open conferences to direct processes and share technologies to individual division and manufacturing plants.
• Perform effective communication in interdisciplinary teams. Organize opinions from team members, customers and vendors. Plan and execute project with project management skill effectively as a lead of a technical team.
• Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise in glass decoration fundamentals
• Job requires periodic travel to Corning Incorporated and supplier’s locations in Asia and USA for process development for new products, new operation and process improvement projects

Education and Experience：

• M.S./PhD in Technical Discipline Chemical Engineering/ Polymer engineering are preferred. Master degree in engineering with strong Analytical statistics and mathematics is a plus

Required Skills：

• Solid knowledge on glass surface properties, ink/ paste formulations and surface characterization
• Solid knowledge on glass surface decoration, including screen printing, spray coating and other similar technology process and fundamentals
• Strong problem solving/analysis skills
• Strong communication skill to work with different multi-functions department with different culture
• Proficient in English and Mandarin. Good written and oral skills are essential
• Presentation and technical writing skills to enable communication within the program team, internal, and external customers
• Self-starter, passionate about engineering and have a high level of technical curiosity.
