Purpose of Position

Leverages Industrial Engineering expertise to analyze, design, standardize, and improve production lines, capacity, labor utilization, material flow, and process flow, with the goal of increasing productivity, eliminating waste, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained. This role partners closely with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement.  

Day to Day Responsibility

  • Analyze existing production process, workflows and labor utilization, identify bottlenecks and waste, propose improvement solutions.
  • Design and optimize plant layout, material flow, and workstation arrangement to improve smooth and efficient flow of material, people and information on site.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and manpower planning
  • Monitor and analyze production data, identify key factors that affect production efficiency, and formulate improvement measures.
  • Plan, execute lean improvement projects to ensure projects are completed on time and in quality.
  • Encourage employees to come up with more innovative ideas and suggestions to promote continuous improvement and innovation in production process.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an IE Engineer in manufacturing environment, with excellent work performance.
  • Rich experience in Lean improvement project promotion, leading projects to improve production efficiency and process quality with significant results.

Required Skills. Competencies, or Certification

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and layout design
  • Certifications in Six Sigma / Quality / Engineering / Lean Manufacturing are preferred.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong data analysis ability.
  • Good oral and written expression ability.
  • Self-directed, results/data/fact-oriented, able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to achieve the results through teams.
  • Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Skilled application of Office software, strong judgment and execution ability and teamwork ability.
