Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Strategically manage all aspects of calendar for business needs
• Manage complex travel arrangements (both domestic and international) and proactively stay ahead of changes, including but not limited to management of all travel documents, schedules, and corporate aircraft arrangements
• Interface directly with Senior Leadership Team, Corporate Officers, Board of Directors (occasionally), and their executive assistants
• Lead the planning and the execution of (offsite) executive meetings, VIP visits/events, etc
• Collaborate with local and global teams on daily basis
• Handle items that are highly confidential and critical in nature
Required capabilities:
• Cross-cultural, cross-regional communication skills: English proficiency, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the corporation, across geographies
• Work as a team: collaborate with US counterpart to support business priorities and the senior executive’s day to day functions
• Professionalism: highly responsive, reliable, and mature; able to deliver error-free execution on timely basis, exercise highest level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
• Strong organizational and administrative skills: attention to details; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills: ability to think thoroughly and strategically, anticipating senior executive’s needs; strong decision making/problem solving skills dealing with ad-hoc issues
• Cultural fit: hard-working and highly motivated self-starter, collaborative team-player, fast learner
Required Education:
Associates degree or above
Nice-to-have capabilities/experience:
• 10+ years of experience in Executive Assistant roles in multinational companies
• Overseas experience – academic or professional
