The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Role Purpose
Responsible for supporting the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment assistance, employee relations management, training coordination, HR data maintenance, performance management, ensuring the efficient execution of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruitment Assistance:
- Assist in posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Communicate interview details and related processes with venders or candidates to ensure a smooth recruitment experience.
- Support the preparation and organization of recruitment data and reports.
• Employee Relations Management:
- Assist with employee onboarding, termination and position changes.
- Update and maintain employee records and HR information systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Address daily inquiries from employees and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Training and Development Support:
- Assist in organizing and coordinating internal training sessions, including sending notifications, reserving venues, and managing attendance.
- Maintain training records, update training files, and collect employee feedback.
- Help create training materials and related reports.
• Compensation and Benefits Assistance:
- Support the collection and forwarding of data for payroll calculations, such as incentives, position allowances, etc.
- Provide basic assistance with payroll-related tasks.
• Probation and Performance Management
- Assist in tracking probation periods, coordinating evaluations, and preparing relevant documentation to ensure timely and accurate completion of the probation process.
- Support the performance review process by organizing meetings, collecting feedback, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Employee Support:
- Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Provide support in resolving employee concerns or escalate issues as needed.
• HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Assist in organizing training programs, employee engagement activities, and company events.
- Support the preparation of HR reports and tracking of key metrics.
• Compliance Support:
- Ensure HR processes comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Help update and communicate HR policies as required.
• Other:
- Other work assigned by HR Consultant / Generalist / HRM
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous administrative or HR-related experience is an advantage.
Required Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR practices is a plus.
