The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success.  It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation.  GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day import & export operation to ensure all the activities under customs compliance requirement.
  • Verify all shipping documents and prepare any other necessary documents for customs clearance.
  • Cross check with shipper on COO certification for duty exemption such as ECFA, RCEP and FTA.
  • Follow up on customs clearance status and arrange the customs duty/deposit payment.
  • Monitor transportation from port to door to end customers’ site.
  • Prepare necessary documents such as DN, POD etc. to end customers and cross check with finance team to finish the payment flow.
  • Work closely with cross function teams, including planning, finance, original plant team etc., to ensure the operation flow smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage and monitor the logistic service providers’ performance by KPI evaluation and regular review.
  • Check and analyze the monthly logistic spendings.
  • Communicate with customs authorities if any special cases.
  • Record all the information from daily work, including customs clearance, transportation, inventory etc.
  • Participate in continuous improvement or cost savings project.
  • Other tasks assigned.

 

Education & Experience  

  • Bachelor or above degree, major in SCM, global trade or other related experience.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in import/export operation, customs affairs, or other related areas in multinational company.

 

Required Skills                                                

  • Familiar with ERP, SAP, MS office software.
  • CET4 and above
  • Strong experience of customs clearance. Knowledge of incoterms, global trading, import & export process.
