Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


•    Define and implement tool and process qualification strategies, including readiness criteria for volume production.
•    Drive process transfer to contract manufacturers, ensuring complete and accurate technical documentation.
•    Support production ramp-up, driving yield improvement and ensuring process stability at scale.
•    Cooperate with the Technology team to develop and standardize optical metrology, calibration, and verification methods.
•    Cooperate with Manufacturing teams to optimize yield performance and reduce defects through structured root cause analysis.
•    Establish and maintain process capability targets and control plans.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Technology, and Manufacturing teams across regions.

REQUIREMENTS:

•    Master’s or PhD degree in optoelectronics, optics, physics, electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing.
•    Knowledge of opto-mechanical technologies and manufacturing processes.
•    Experience delivering solutions based on statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
•    Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
•    Strong organizational and communication skills.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
 
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
•    Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25% of working time)
