Manager, China Risk Management

Position Description:

This role is part of the Greater China strategy team, and will work closely with Enterprise Risk & Intelligence, a strategic finance team that delivers analysis and insight on enterprise risk management (ERM) techniques, enterprise value drivers and corporate financial strategy approaches.

 The position of Manager, China Risk Management is an exciting opportunity to lead the adoption of ERM tools in China.



-Establish a “world class” ERM program in China that is aligned with the COSO ERM Framework

-Support the Director, Enterprise Risk regarding all aspects of the ERM program, including risks outside of China. Responsibilities include the development, implementation and application of KRIs and the monitoring, analysis and reporting of risks.

-Lead the identification and monitoring of strategic, operational, legal, financial and reputational risks throughout Greater China, including KRIs

-Work with the China Risk Sub-Council, and business/functional leaders in China, to set the tone and reinforce the importance of ERM in China

-Update quarterly risk monitoring dashboard for the Risk Council

-Pursue continuous improvement to improve the efficiency and usefulness of ERM; to include new technology, performance, changes to organization or risk appetite, benchmarking, etc.

-Develop reporting and monitoring for enterprise risks, including opportunities for the application of advanced analytics


Education & Experience:

-Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science)

-5+ years total experience; 2+ years of relevant experience

-Previous experience in auditing, risk assessment and finance are plus

-Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives Required Skills:

-Must possess a quantitative approach to analyzing data and solving problems

-Must be inquisitive and open to challenging traditional processes and thinking

-Able to present analysis to senior level stakeholders

-Strong business partnership skills

-Strong written and verbal communication skills – spoken and written English and Mandarin

-Strong analytical and presentation skills

-Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to quickly master new software systems

-Ability to both work independently and as part of cross functional teams

-Team player with strong organizational skills Desired Skills: -Familiarity with risk management concepts, including the COSO ERM Framework

-Lean/Six Sigma background or experience working with PEx tools a plus

-Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or other dashboard software a plus

 -Interest in strategy development and risk management

Soft Skills:

 -Eager to take on new challenges and learn new skills

 -Addresses every task as a process that can be documented and potentially automated or handed off to others

-Can quickly assess a problem, explain it and map out potential solutions; driven to “get to the bottom” of every issue
