Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive ongoing intelligence collection on glass makers through public sources, industry experts, and third-party consultants.
• Synthesize and deliver competitive insights through weekly reporting and regular market review updates.
• Lead and manage third-party studies to deepen analysis on competitors’ capacity, cost structure, technology, and strategy.
• Maintain cost models and conduct financial analysis to assess competitors’ cost position and financial health.
• Coordinate with regional business teams for intelligence validation, alignment, and insight integration.
• Own China glass maker tank tracking program, providing regular updates on capacity and operational status.
• Support ad-hoc competitive intelligence requests with timely and actionable insights
Experiences/Education - Required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in market or competitive intelligence
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field
• High ownership and initiative
• Results-oriented mindset
• Strong attention to detail and patience
• Flexible and willing to travel
Experiences/Education - Desired
• Background in consulting, technology, R&D, or engineering
• Knowledge of FPD or broader electronics industry
Business Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Solid project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
