Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. 

Role Purpose

 

  • Responsible for developing and communicating demand requirements, for authorizing them to execute a build plan in support of Business requirements.
  • Manage inventory & purchasing strategies to ensure optimum material utilization.
  • Manage forwarder and Distribution Center for better performance.
  • Manage and follow up new projects in plant for better execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • -    Responsible for developing and communicating demand requirements for external suppliers, for authorizing them to execute a build plan in support of Business requirements.
    -    Follow up suppliers on order acknowledgement, delivery plan and shipping schedule to ensure materials and products ordered could arrive on schedule. 
    -    Place PO align with the material planning to suppliers
    -    Support planner to well control material inventory value and level. 
    -    Drive the continuous improvement for better material management and cost control and support localize the qualified products/vendors for better supply
    -    Deal with supplier material quality problems and communicate with QA.
    -    Follow up and maintaining Key metrics, performance, report based on collected data.
    -    Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experiences/Education - Required

-    Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, computer science, purchasing management or relevant field of study
-    5years working experience as buyer, experience in planning is a plus.
