Role Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Specialist to support mobility, immigration, and compensation & benefits operations. This role will support immigration processes, international assignments, relocations, and compliance requirements related to employee movement, while also contributing to cross-country C&B operational processes and broader global program support. The position is designed to bring together breadth across mobility and selected C&B activities, with a focus on process coordination, operational execution, and cross-program synergy.
Key Responsibilities
Mobility and Immigration Operations:
- Manage immigration processes for employees requiring work authorization, including coordination with external counsel and vendors on visa, work permit, residence permit, and related applications
- Track case progress, renewals, expirations, and compliance requirements, and help ensure processes align with legal and internal policy requirements
- Support international assignments, relocations, transfers, and other cross-border employee movement processes
- Provide operational support for urgent deployments, project-based assignments, and other time-sensitive workforce movements
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, confidentiality, and data privacy in mobility, immigration, and tax-related activities
Mobility Advisory and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Serve as an operational contact for HR, business stakeholders, employees, and vendors on mobility and immigration matters
- Partner with HR, payroll, tax, legal, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to support smooth employee movement and issue resolution
- Help identify key considerations such as policy applicability, timelines, cost inputs, and operational constraints, and escalate complex or high-risk matters as needed
- Support policy interpretation, stakeholder education, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement of mobility processes
Compensation & Benefits Operations Support:
- Support cross-country C&B operational processes, with a focus on activities that require coordination, consistency, and process alignment across markets and stakeholders
- Provide support for global or regional C&B programs, processes, projects, and annual cycle activities, including data gathering, operational support, communication, and stakeholder coordination
- Prepare, compile, validate, and organize data as requested for C&B surveys, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analysis requests across countries or programs
- Partner with C&B, HR, payroll, and other stakeholders to help connect upstream policy intent with downstream operational execution across countries
- Contribute to process standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement across mobility and selected C&B workstreams, especially where stronger cross-program synergy can improve efficiency and user experience
Cross-Training and Broader Program Support:
- Develop knowledge over time to become cross-trained in other compensation and mobility programs, including Recognizing Excellence, annual bonus programs, Long-Term Incentives (LTI), and Memorandums of Understanding, and provide primary or backup support as needed
- Support global processes and work across mobility and selected Total Rewards programs as business needs evolve
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or equivalent qualification / experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in mobility, immigration, tax, payroll, C&B or related HR operations; experience managing Southeast Asia immigration and mobility matters is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use digital tools and reporting platforms effectively to manage data, generate insights, and support decision-making
- Successful track record in working with external providers and vendor management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with sound judgment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume, and culturally diverse environment
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to work successfully across different countries, stakeholders, and ways of working
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Proficient verbal and written English language skills
- Able to travel within China and Asia as required by project and business needs
People and Interpersonal Savvy:
- Establish relationships with customers and vendors based on trust, credibility, and competence to increase effectiveness in resolving issues
- Develop and leverage strong relationships with relevant vendor, procurement, HR, and cross-functional contacts to maintain smooth operations across mobility and selected C&B processes
- Be attentive to stakeholder needs and respond quickly to address them through proactive communication
- Handle conflict appropriately and work effectively under pressure
- Demonstrate cultural and diversity awareness when communicating mobility and C&B solutions across countries and stakeholders

- Utilize subject matter expertise to analyze issues, draw conclusions and develop preliminary recommendations
