Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

•    Work closely with global SCM/PLM to understand the demand visibility and Order placement requirements.
•    Place Internal PO to APAC plants and coordinate quick PO confirmation and expedite with plants for gaps.
•    Highlight Critical risks and allocate orders among plants for best balanced performance.
•    Assist in developing and executing inventory strategies for high-running items, analyze excess and obsolete stock to secure reduction actions.
•    Good understanding of trade incoterms, provide logistics guidance to plants with best balance of transportation cost and agility.
•    Collect and refresh latest cost on SAP and ensure to place PO at the correct prices. 
•    Monitor PO payment status. Approve invoice upload on SAP. Support finance and plants to solve the aging invoices parked issue and get them cleared on time.
•    Support DMO team on new part number/new vendor/ new price creation in SAP.
•    Support Warehouse on stock discrepancy clarity and adjustment.
•    Participate in key account meetings and provide inputs from Order management view. Support on tasks assigned.
•    Support on other optimization projects or initiatives.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in English, logistics, SCM.
•    About 3~5 years’ experience in Planning demand planning and project management is a plus.
•    Having experience working in a multinational company is a plus

Required Skills

•    Fluent English speaking/writing is a must.

•    Good project management skills.
•    Impeccable attention to detail, passion for processes improvement, systems and data handling
•    Skilled in ERP system, SAP Preferred.
•    Good MS Office experience (Excel, Power point), Power BI is a plus.
•    High sense of responsibility and initiative, self-motivated, good team player and the ability to work with a wide cross-section of people in various locations.
•    Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment
•    Flexibility to work across multiply time-zone in multiple languages, flexibility to balance the working time between US calendar and Chinese calendar.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of culture differences between different countries.
