Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in division-wide operation programs as a finance expert, provide insights, recommendation and analysis timely
- Partner with Project Management Office, Operation Strategy, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Engineering to support decision making and planning with sufficient financial analysis
- Maintain technology roadmap cost improvement data base and provide analysis to related parties
- Maintain by-gen-size manufacturing cost database and provide analysis to related parties
- Maintain stranded cost database and track improvement actions to deliver long-term cost target
- Co-work with finance function including division finance and location/plant controllers on budgeting and 5-yr planning process to ensure alignment with division strategy
- Collaborate with plant/division finance and related functions to provide PPE and by-gen-size cost to update product profitability in quarterly basis
- Collaborate as finance expert and contribute to support business leaders to achieve Plant & Division objectives
- Review and analyze financial data (ROI, IRR & Payback) of strategic capital investment
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (4 years) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 10 years+ of relevant experience; preferable Manufacturing Costing / Accounting experience
- Controller experience desired
- Proven knowledge of US GAAP
Required Skills:
- Strong and highly efficient skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to conduct analysis with logical thinking skill and provide financial analysis timely
- Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Team player, Proactive, open-minded and willing to share knowledge and expertise
