Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Major Responsibility
• Work together with China business director and develop multiple strategies to achieve profitable growth in China/APAC. It includes but not limits,
o Develop Great China and Other Asia Data Center strategy to capture both global Hyper 5 and local DC customer demand
o Work together with PLM team and drive multiple programs (i.e. China AI Win & Learn program, Meta 10X program, etc.)
o Leverage and coordinate China/APAC local resource on COC capacity utilization and expansion program
• Work with global & local teams and propose China/APAC local strategy. Communicate and advise senior management within the various function teams
• Lead cross functional teams to deliver on such strategies
• Work in partnership with commercial teams to develop commercial initiatives
• Collaborate with PLM and other function teams to devise strategy for potential new business development in the region. Ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
• Support COC China business director on regular slides, meeting minutes, meeting organization preparation
• Enhance, improve and develop local process management in COC China
Education & Experience
• Education:
o Bachelor's (graduate) degree or above
• Experience:
o >5 years of experience working in consulting firms and/or corporate roles (strategy development or strategy process management function) in multinational companies
o Strong analytic/problem-solving skills with experience in dealing with complex business issues
o A good combination of strategic thinking and operational execution
o Fluency in Mandarin and English
