Quality Engineer

Day to Day Responsibility

•    Responsible for quality planning, quality control, and continuous improvement of optical communication products such as optical modules, AOC, DAC, PLC, WDM, connectors, jumpers, etc.
•    Responsible for analyzing, handling, and tracking quality anomalies in the production process, and promoting problem closure.
•    Lead the analysis of quality issues in incoming materials, processes, and finished products, and organize relevant departments to develop corrective and preventive measures.
•    Participate in quality review during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase and develop a quality control plan.
•    Responsible for analyzing and improving customer complaints, returns to goods (RMA), and major quality issues.
•    Use quality tools such as 8D, 5Why, fishbone diagram, SPC, FMEA, MSA, APQP, etc. to analyze and improve problems.
•    Establish and optimize inspection standards SOP、SIP、 Quality documents such as control plans.
•    Assist in promoting supplier quality management and improving the stability of incoming material quality.
•    Participate in reliability testing and failure analysis to promote product reliability improvement.
•    Cooperate with internal and external audits, such as ISO9001, TL9000, ISO14001,ISO45001 and other system audits.
•    Continuously promotes the improvement of quality awareness and quality capabilities among all employees.
•    Complete other job assigned by immediate supervisor what is required for this position.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor ‘s Degree required within Engineering or Quality fields preferred.
•    Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification, or equivalent preferred.
•    DMAIC green belt certification preferred.
•    English proficiency, both oral and written.

Required Skills. Competencies, or Certification

Required by Legal or EHS:
•    Know quality relevant law and regulations 

Competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors)
•    5-7 years or more experience in process quality management, with preferred experience in optical communication or electronic manufacturing industries
•    Familiar with quality management tools: 8D, 5Why, QC seven major techniques, SPC, FMEA, MSA, CPK, APQP, etc;
•    Familiar with quality management systems: ISO9001, TL9000, knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001 is preferred;
•    Understand the basic principles, structures, and manufacturing processes of optical communication products;
•    Familiar with reliability testing methods, such as high and low temperature cycling, aging testing, wet heat testing, vibration testing, etc;
•    Can understand mechanical drawings, product specifications, and inspection standards;
•    Have certain data statistics and analysis skills, proficient in using office software such as Excel, Minitab, PPT, etc;
•    Understand common failure analysis methods, have the ability to handle exceptions and write reports.

•    Capable of withstanding certain work pressure and adapting to the pace of work in manufacturing enterprises;
•    Has strong customer orientation and risk awareness.
