Purpose of the Position:


Pursues, secures, and executes profitable business opportunities with new and existing customers to support the achievement of specialty glass sales and profit objectives.


Day to Day Responsibilities:


• Investigates and identifies sales opportunities in assigned territory and develops and executes related sales plans, or executes portions of an account plan, that provide customers with a fully integrated set of product, process, and technical solutions which draw on Optical Material’s total value proposition to meet customers’ specific business needs.

• Promotes Optical Material products and services to potential and existing customers to differentiate Corning in the marketplace and secure new or extend existing selling opportunities.

• Maintains frequent contact with the customer to strengthen the relationship, continually assess Optical Material effectiveness in meeting the customer’s needs, and ultimately maximize sales penetration and customer retention.

• Supports existing customers with issues related to logistics, qualification, and / or a variety of contractual terms.

• Coordinates with the cross-function teams including Application Engineering, Marketing & Business Operations, Customer Services, PLM and Manufacturing to meet customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.


Education & Experience:


• Bachelor's degree Experience:

• 4+ years of demonstrated success in a customer facing role

• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

• Demonstrated track record of compliance with sales policy and related regulations.

• Excellent English language.
