Key Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform electrical design activities for automation control Systems, including hardware selection, system architecture, and review of electrical schematic drawings.

    • Develop control software by defining software functional specifications and programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

    • Participate in automation projects such as capital expansion, new technology development, solution migration, and process control improvement.

    • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from system design to installation, commissioning, start-up, training, and technology transfer.

    • Utilize advanced skills in PLC, HMI, SCADA, automation integration, and data communication as required by each project.

    • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge in automation controls systems to develop control logic and flow.

    • Willingness to travel and provide weekend or shift coverage as needed for projects.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Systems, Measurement & Instrumentation, or Computer Engineering.
  • 3+ years of working experience as control/electrical engineer in customized machinery or automation equipment company
  • Experience living, studying, working and/or extended traveling outside of home country or working with international teams is a plus
  • Diversity of experience or background is a plus
  • 3+ years hands-on control systems hardware and software integration system design
  • 3+ years hands-on PLC/HMI (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, CODESYS.) experience
  • Familiarity with PLC, HMI, VFD, and servo system programming, iFix SCADA development, and system integration.
  • Familiar with programming using standardized PLC code libraries
  • Familiar with Electrical Safety system design and implementation
  • Familiar with industrial field communication protocols (RS232/RS485, CC Link, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP etc.)
  • Fundamental understanding of classical control – PID, Servo/Motion Controls
  • Strictly follow safety procedures and ensure awareness, such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Proficiency in various PLC and HMI systems, such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, CODESYS

  • Experience in computer languages for industrial control, such as C, C++, C#, VBA, Python, etc., for complete system development.

  • Knowledge of advanced control algorithms, such as MIMO, IMC, MPC development with MATLAB or Python.

  • Experience in industrial data systems with SQL databases.

  •  Proficiency in electrical drawing skills, such as AutoCAD and EPLAN.

  • Understanding of industrial process concepts and other Manufacturing Excellence skills, such as DMAIC, KT, FMEA, SIPOC, and Project Management skills.
