ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent the IT Vendor Management group in regional meetings with local business leadership teams

• Reinforces IT culture through decisions to allocate resources, set priorities, measure performance and staff the organization

• Builds organizational understanding of and commitment to IT’s desired culture through engaging the workforce on what it is and is not, what it looks like, and why it’s important to the company and individual

• Partner with GSM to obtain knowledge of Strategic Supplier contractors with focus on lowering overall Total Cost of Ownership

• Partner with Service Lines to develop and deploy services that best optimize strategic vendor services • Ensure overall compliance for MSA/SOW/SLA

• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendor partners

• Establishing partnerships with key stakeholders, both within and external to IS products/services, ensuring quality standards and needed specifications are established

• Providing support for overall governance of vendor process to include vendor reviews and oversight

• Developing financial analysis and governance model aligned with direction of IT

• May be called upon to for cost analysis and interpretation of contractual language related to fulfillment of issue resolution

• Will be responsible for developing SLA’s which are manageable and enforceable during the vendors delivery of the products and services

• Providing coaching and assistants to teammates

• Leading or participating in the negotiation of new contracts and or changes to existing contracts

• Working with Global Procurement as a result of sourcing requests, to procure professional products/services, ensuring quality standards and needed specifications are established

• Serve as a point of supplier escalations

• Assist in negotiating and resolving relevant conflicts about Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in relevant field; Masters / Advance degree a plus

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

6 to 8 years of strategic sourcing/vendor management experience in a dynamic global environment preferably for a large international company in the manufacturing space

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Thinks in opportunities instead of barriers

• Listens carefully to understand various points of view, whether he/she agrees or not, to create commitment and velocity through alignment

• Weighs risks, opportunities, alternatives, and cost in recommending the most appropriate service and technology

• Work in a Global Sourcing/Vendor Management environment in a matrixed and global organization

• Must have demonstrated experience providing thought leadership to overcome challenges and lead without direct authority but rather with influence

• Process strong written and verbal communication skills

• Certification in Project Management a plus

• Financial management experience as it applies to the monitoring and oversight of third party suppliers

• Working knowledge and proven experience working with a cross-functional team to provide value added vendor management related goods and service • Business acumen related to sourcing and vendor management

• Must be an independent self-starter and have proven ability to drive results and prioritize work activities

• Experience managing Technology/Hardware related vendors DESIRED SKILLS

• Prior relevant work experience serving the IT Vendor Management field

• SAP experience

• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities, including planning, management and execution of responsibilities

• Experience working directly with third-party vendors or other vendor management, including contract negotiation experience

• Must have ability to be assertive and challenge the status quo, while still maintaining strong and effective relationships

• Proven collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority

• Experience working with contract management systems Travel 25% domestic and international travel
