Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct process improvement experiments and manufacturing studies. Statistics analysis of manufacturing and experimental data to find process upset root causes and implement solutions.  Utilize data analysis techniques to reduce cycle- time, improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce loss, and implement improved processes and new products.
  • Involve in process variability reductions, manufacturing capability and process control for consistent performance, product quality, process optimization and cost reductions.
  • Plan, execute & document experimental plans related to product & process development, cycle time reduction, loss reduction & increasing Mfg efficiency.
  • Work on joint teams with development, engineering and quality team in a joint effort to deliver program objectives
  • Transfer of technology to plant operations with full implementation of training and documentation systems (Standard Operation Procedures, Process Set-points)

 

Education & Experience

  • B.S. Degree in engineering - Chemical engineering, Material science, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering are preferred
  • Experienced in glass thermal treatment processes and glass finishing for cover glass is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Minimum of 3 years process engineering (cover glass related process engineering work experience is preferred)

 

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of process control/process discipline, SPC, and DOE
  • Proficient in English and ability to communicate technically in written and oral are essential
  • High initiative, able to work with ambiguous technical situations, and able to work in team environment
  • Respectful to people and requires the ability to adapt in multi-cultural and cross-functional team environment
  • Technical curiosity with willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated and quick response to problem identified
  • Results oriented with a high commitment level
  • Logical thinking and detail-oriented
