Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop data-based market entry / investment / M&A strategies for a variety of Corning businesses in China, in conjunction with the concerned divisions
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver on such strategies
  • Communicate and advise senior management within the various divisions and Corning China
  • Work with global business divisions to deploy the strategies that are developed
  • Identify short term incremental sales/cost reduction opportunities for Corning businesses in China
  • Work in partnership with China-based sales teams to develop customer interaction plans, distributor incentives, and other tactical commercial initiatives
  • Collaborate with technology community and/or business divisions to devise strategy for potential technology commercialization and new business development in the region

 

Education & Experience  

  • China and/or Asia working experience with proven track record (6 years+ for manager and 3 years + for analyst)
  • Experience working with multinational companies in a strategy development or strategy process management function

 

Required Skills

  • Strong analytic/problem-solving skills with experience in dealing with complex business issues
  • A good combination of strategic thinking and operational execution
  • Capable of senior management communication & engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing project & people
  • Top-ranking MBA
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English

 

Desired Skills

  • Professional experience in a top-tier management consulting firm  (3-4 years for manager)
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, telecommunication, new energy or automotive industries
  • Undergraduate degree focused on a technical area of study
