As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Using unique expertise in the fields of materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry and biology, the segment provides innovative solutions that improve productivity and enable breakthrough discoveries.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full spectrum from finished good procurement from suppliers to delivery to customers.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled within standard lead time and by promise date.
  • Track out-of-stock occurrence, analyze for root causes for actions to improve in-stock % and reduce unfulfilled past due.
  • Control inventory within target range by regularly reviewing and clearing slow moving inventory.
  • Responsible for all activities related to managing PR/PO for external suppliers and MSR for internal supplier.
  • Be an active member of cross-functional teams focused on process improvement, cost reduction and supply chain issue resolution.  

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with science or engineering degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in either demand planning or supply planning
  • Work experience in multinational matrix environment. 


Desired  

  • Medical or FMCG industry.
  • Capability to build data model in PowerBI
  • CPIM or CSCP preferred.

  • Superior analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel handling large amount of data.
  • Strong ownership and sense of responsibility to achieve the set target.

Soft Skills

  • Strong understanding of planning methods and processes.
  • Good spoken and written English for business environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across functions.
