Purpose of the position:
- Serve as the primary technical interface between Corning and assigned TPM customers, supporting Gorilla Glass products and solutions’ introduction, qualification, design-in, mass production, quality and specific project development.
- Provide product training and technical support on cover glass IOX, finishing, and process optimization for performance improvement and troubleshooting, while understanding customer needs and technical trends and collecting VOC.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Handle customer technical demands and issues, and build effective working relationships at different levels.
- Have a good understanding of Gorilla Glass products, performance, finishing, testing, and integration with consumer electronic devices.
- Work closely with commercial technology, commercial teams, and other technical teams in the region to support and drive Gorilla Glass product adoption.
- Document a solid understanding of customers’ testing protocols, needs, and acceptable trade-offs.
- Deliver solutions to meet technical requirements, resolve technical issues, and escalate when necessary.
- Support alignment and closure of technical specifications with customers.
- Provide technical and product training to assigned customers when needed.
- Develop knowledge of cover glass materials, processes, and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering.
- Apply structured problem-solving methods to support issue resolution and process improvement.
- Provide project support across multiple stages of innovation for new product, process, cost reduction, and capacity improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering related disciplines. Degree in glass technology, ceramics or materials sciences is preferred.
- 3 years working experience in Mobile Phone business, glass finishing industry, cover glass cutting/polishing/coating, LCD, Touch Panel, semiconductor business, global company, CET >=4.
- Good communication and negotiation skill in both Chinese and English
- Self-motivated, particularly under pressure
