Day to Day Responsibilities
• Based on 3 months’ rolling forecast to plan capacity with CMs and obtain 25% flexibility to support demand fluctuation.
• Monitor CM’s production status to maintain supply flexibility and risks in cases of demand fluctuations (e.g., customer pull-ins or push-outs).
• Manage production execution with CMs to ensure delivery dates meet customer requests. Ensure shipments are on time and properly documented.
• Manage Corning related inventory under all business models (consignment or buy-sell). Assure all transactions are processed in the PMT system and maintain data accuracy.
• Perform quarterly cycle counts at CM and report discrepancies and reasons clearly. Document the Corning inventory scrap process. • • Review CM’s monthly closing report together with GSM and Finance to ensure data is correct, complete and with justification.
• Use lean concepts to streamline operations, cut Lead Time and meet customer demand.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, project management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, with proven ability to manage supply chain and operation processes effectively.
Required Skills
• Strong execution capability with a metrics-driven approach to driving results.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong skills in using data to organize ideas and articulate thoughts clearly. Ability to create well-structured and logical presentations that effectively communicate the thoughts.
• Effective English communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal teams and external CMs.
• Solid knowledge of factory operations, production management, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Must be details oriented.
• Flexibility for travel (<50% of the time, primarily within China.
Desired Qualifications
• PMP certification or hands-on project management experience.
• Leadership and good judgement. Willing to lead and able to lead.
• Cross-culture working experience.
• With Lean experience is preferred.
