Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of Position (use 1 to 2 sentences to illustrate the reason of this position’s existence) • Develop and manage the Multi Tenants DC market for Corning Enterprise Network business in assigned territory with ultimate goal to grow Corning products revenue by developing the customer relationship, understanding customer business and demand and then introducing Corning DC solutions. Major Responsibility • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary interface with DC customers in assigned territory, building trust and strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels to understand their needs and requirements. • Opportunity Identification: Identify sales opportunities and leads in the DC market on assigned territory, building and maintaining a robust project pipeline. • Channel Development: Develop and manage sales channels in the market, achieving sales targets through these channels while maintaining strong relationships with target System Integrators. • Business Planning and Execution: Create and implement business plans that integrate Corning’s products, processes, services, and technical solutions to meet customer-specific needs. • Issue Resolution: Address customer concerns, resolve problems, and handle complaints to maintain trust and satisfaction. • Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular progress reports and sales forecasts using key account metrics for internal and external stakeholders. • Executive Engagement: Facilitate customer visits involving Corning’s executive leadership to enhance credibility and strengthen market presence. • Collaboration: Work with Application Engineering (AE), Product Line Management, engineering, and other functions to negotiate favorable agreements aligned with customers’ short- and long-term requirements. • Market Intelligence: Gather and share insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales, marketing, and technical strategies, as well as demand forecasting and sales planning. Performance Evaluation Criteria • Achieve annual revenue target and new production introduction objectives. • Timely update account activity monthly plan and execution. • Build strong multiple-level relationships with the external customers, document the customer relationship development plan. • Effective ability to secure cooperation of others in getting the job done. • Demonstrate capable decision-making ability and follow through on actions.
