Role Purpose
Theia (LSAG) is one of top innovative programs to grow GGS. The product line is currently in the ramp-up phase and requiring expediting development cycle to establish technology leadership position. To better support high growing market, knowledgeable AG engineers are needed to work with program team evolving LSAG capability addressing customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and research operations.
- Uses rigorous processes and technical knowledge to build detailed technical understanding for key process steps.
- Functions as a team member or team leader on focused projects.
- Trouble shoots material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective actions.
- Recommends and implements permanent solutions to long term performance issues, and improves existing and new technologies and processes.
- Implements and documents material, process and/or equipment changes.
- Documents material, process and/or equipment to protect and contribute to Intellectual Property improvements.
- Uses statistical tools and Designed Experiments (DOE) in process problem solving and process improvement.
- Introduces new products and technologies, need to communicate with US development/research department frequently.
- Supports new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation and training.
- Designs and/or specifies new equipment or modifies existing equipment to continuously improve process performance.
- Develops SME knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering
- Executes cost reduction and improvement (DMAIC) projects in line with business objectives.
- Meet Environmental, Safety and Health requirements related to equipment or process.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Familiar with photolithography process and chemical etching process.
- 3+ years of AG(Anti-glare), 5+ is preferred.
- Good process integration capability.
- Familiar with 6-Sigma (DMAIC) and DOE.
- Experience to work with cross functional departments of QA, AE/PE, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
- Broad manufacturing and engineering experiences
- Knowledge of Innovation Stage-gate processes
- BS or Higher; Material, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related science or engineering background.
- Good English presentation and communication skills.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Project experience with Contract manufacturer is a plus.
- Familiar with glass manufacturing process such as washing, CNC, IOX and printing is a plus.
