Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Survey and develop/specify new capable gauges to meet the new test requirements related to glass size, reliability, optical, mechanical, etc. Or design new testing methods with existing gauges.
• Install/qualify new gauges/tests and release to production measurement.
• Work closely with partner to evaluate exiting gauges test capabilities/capacities and continuously improve.
• Write gauges’ engineering or operational work instructions; provide direction to partner engineers and coach operators.
• Lead to do gauge study (MSA) and gauge alignment with contract manufacturer or customer.
• Work closely with software engineers to design gauge interfaces for operators, and database for data users.
• Develop data analysis capability and its formats, and data visualization reports to data end-users.
• Work closely with internal/external engineering team and quality team, to make sure delivered measurement data are correct.
• Design new fixtures for metrology tools.
• Daily maintenance of metrology tools, to ensure gauges are in correct state.
• Provide leadership in problem solving and technical expertise, to ensure timely troubleshooting on gauge issues; get root cause of issues and put permanent solutions in place.
• Write and present reports.
• Develop SME knowledge of metrology.
Requirements: Education & Experience
• BS or Higher; Master is preferred.
• Precise Instruments, Optics, Machine Vision, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Science related
Requirements: Required Skills
• Good English, CET-6
• Familiar with MS office tools, capable of writing reports in English
• Basic statistics and reporting capability
• Good communication skills
Requirements: Desired Skills
• Familiar with Machine Vision is a plus
• Working experience in a test lab or inspection system development is a plus
• Familiar with Minitab/Origin is a plus
• Familiar with Matlab/Python is a plus
• Knowledge of MSA is a plus
• A 2nd language of Korean is a plus
• Studied abroad is a plus
