Scope of Position

As a member of our Finance team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audit and tax matters while supporting some projects within the organization. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Audit & Compliance Support: Contribute to external audit processes by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).
  • Tax & Regulatory Assistance: Assist with tax computations, filing preparations, and documentation for statutory reporting required for Singapore entity.

This internship promises valuable hands-on experience, offering you the opportunity to make meaningful contributions towards achieving Corning's objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of audit works such as preparing Gaap entries in Local GAAP and reconcile US GAAP vs SG GAAP.
  • Prepare audit schedules, related party matrix and confirmation and other matters that require for audit purpose.
  • Support data gathering and documentation for Singapore tax filling.
  • Contribute to projects on ad hoc basis.

Experiences/Education - Required

  1. Pending Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  2. Reasonable proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • High level of accuracy and able to manage and analyze large volume of data.
  • Analytical thinker able to identify discrepancies and follow up on issues.
  • Clear communication skills to explain accounting concepts and findings.
  • Eagerness to learn about accounting systems, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, building strong working relationships.
