Note: This is a fully remote position based in Bangkok, Thailand.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Responsible for the technical sales of Corning Life Sciences products (Bioprocess & Cell Culture) in SEA territories (Thailand and Philippines). Manages, retains and cultivates new accounts that meets the needs of key customers, differentiates Corning within the marketplace and supports the achievement of the division’s objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Responsible for technical selling – understanding the product and application needs of a customer and using customer-focused selling techniques to recommend workflow solutions leveraging product features and benefits.
- Product and hands on training will be provided over initial 3-6 months, candidate is expected to achieve a deep understand of major product lines.
- Be capable of presenting key features and technical explanations, and where needed partner with FAS team to address customer issues with prepared solutions or processes.
- Achieve sales budget set by Regional sales manager
Market Research and Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities and analyze trends in target industries.
- Develop and implement effective business development and dealership management strategies tailored to the market.
- Provide competitor intelligence information, including pricing and activity monitoring at customer level.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Develop relationships with key accounts to build a strong partnership for existing and new business expansion in focus market segments such as Research and Bioproduction.
- Identify and onboard new clients in the following market segments:
- Bioprocess, including Biosimilar (Biologics) and Vaccine Manufacturing, Cell Therapy R&D and Manufacturing (Private Biotech)
- Genomics includes Diagnostic testing (Public/Private)
- Cell Culture includes academic/government research facilities (Public)
- Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including dealers, distributors, and end clients.
Dealership Management:
- Promote focused sales and marketing activities around new/ differentiated products with local dealers
- Train, support, and monitor dealership partners to ensure alignment with company goals and product standards.
- Evaluate dealer performance and provide feedback to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Internal Alignment:
- Generate SFDC (Salesforce.Com) opportunity and update any activity regular basis.
- Report weekly activity from previous week and plan for following week to supervisor
- Learn Corning IT tools and use effectively for daily basis such as PBI (Power BI), share folder, Corning AI, and others
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including field application scientists, marketing, business operations, PLMs to ensure seamless client and dealership experiences.
- Provide insights and feedback to the PLM team for continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science related.
- > 5-10 years’ experience in technical or sales in life sciences,
- Strong technical understanding of Life Science products (vessels, media, surfaces) in key application segments e.g. Cell Culture, Bioprocess, Cell Therapy, Biologics and Vaccine Manufacturing.
- Some experience in managing dealership networks or distribution channels for life sciences products.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the market.

- knowledge of dealership management practices, including onboarding, performance tracking, and partner support.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

- Support to marketing/promotional activities with business operations.
