Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.



Purpose of the Position:

Position offers 2-4 rotations across areas of Strategy, Industry Intelligence and Communications teams of Corning Display Technologies (CDT) over a period of one to two years, aiming to prepare incumbent for a team leadership position with an accelerated timeline.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

Incumbent to be rotated across 2-4 roles within his or her first 1-2 years into one of the following roles:


Strategic Analysis

  • Lead cross-functional projects and communicate results to executives in a Steering Team.
  • Typical project topics include industry / value-chain analysis, technology trend assessment, new product strategy, etc.
  • Use effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of insightful strategy 

End Market / Value Chain Analysis

  • Build analytical models to predict market demand using sound assumptions and methodology.
  • Collect intelligence to validate, refine or disprove hypotheses about market evolution
  • Articulate key assumptions and beliefs for senior leadership


Competitive Analysis

  • Use diverse sources of information (products, pricing, capacity, technology, financials, etc.) to piece together key competitors’ business strategies
  • Predict competitors’ likely moves and countermoves to inform commercial tactics development



  • Collect and analyze effectiveness of various internal and external communication programs
  • Craft professional marketing collateral and messages
  • Support executive and external communications
