Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Join our global operations team as the Global Planning Manager for Photonics and Other Assemblies, where you will lead end‑to‑end planning, forecasting, and supply chain coordination across multiple regions. In this high‑impact role, you’ll drive operational excellence, ensure supply continuity, and support the growth of a rapidly expanding global business.

 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute global planning strategies that align production, supply, and inventory with business goals.
  • Lead demand and supply planning, SIOP processes, and global capacity planning across product lines. Partner with regional teams to optimize
  • Production schedules, inventory levels, and replenishment strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, finance, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement to ensure seamless alignment.
  • Guide customer planning activities, improve forecast accuracy, and manage inventory transitions for new products.
  • Drive global initiatives in supply security, inventory optimization, and SLOB reduction.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of planners, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze risks, and implement data‑driven solutions to strengthen global supply chain resilience.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain or production planning, including 3+ years in management.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling.
  • Proficiency with planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, etc.) and advanced analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working in global or multi‑regional environments.

Preferred

  • Professional certifications (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma).
  • Experience in high‑tech or photonics‑related supply chains..
