Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain workflow automation and business applications using the Decisions platform.
- Analyze business requirements and propose scalable technical solutions.
- Build and support integrations with enterprise systems and external services.
- Develop advanced workflows, business rules, forms, dashboards, and reports.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure solution quality through testing, validation, and peer reviews.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and implementation standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and optimize processes.
- Support junior team members and share technical knowledge within the team.
- Identify and drive opportunities for automation and platform improvements.
- Contribute to platform governance, best practices, and solution architecture.
- Provide support to Enterprise Business Solutions team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in application development, workflow automation, or low-code platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good command of English (B2 level or higher).
- Experience working in cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with business stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
Technical skills:
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
- Understanding of application architecture and software development lifecycle.
- Experience in workflow automation and business process design.
- Knowledge of web technologies and client-server architecture.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting complex solutions.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions.
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (Decisions experience is a strong advantage).
- Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, SSO, API security).
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms and business applications.
- SAP knowledge and experience in SAP related projects will be an asset.
