Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide IT support for the manufacturing plant within local IT team
  • Act as the next level of support for the local IT team
  • Maintain and develop applications supporting manufacturing systems
  • Support the MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Analyze and troubleshoot errors occurring in IT systems
  • Resolve current issues related to devices and applications in IT areas
  • Provide services in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Seek improvements to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create technical documentation and IT procedures
  • Participate in projects
  • Follow new technology trends, share them with the team, and adapt them to local needs

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Higher education in Information Technology or related fields
  • Proficiency in programming
  • Substantial experience in software development, including designing, testing, and debugging applications in MS Visual Studio.
  • Solid knowledge in various IT fields such as databases, network architecture, operating systems, artificial intelligence, etc.
  • Experience in diagnosing network issues
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing Platforms
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Proficiency in using scripting languages and task automation tools
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Very good command of English and Polish, both spoken and written

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Familiarity with MS Power Platforms
  • Understanding of Databricks system
  • Knowledge of SAP system
