Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Role Purpose

The IT Business Applications Analyst serves as a strategic partner between business and IT for integrated manufacturing systems across OCS and PCS. This role is responsible for understanding business needs, shaping digital solutions, and driving the evolution of manufacturing application capabilities in alignment with operational priorities, product roadmaps, and long-term business goals.

Acting at the intersection of Business Analysis, Product Ownership, and servant leadership, this position translates manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, and supply chain requirements into clear product and application priorities. The role ensures that digital capabilities are designed and delivered in a way that creates measurable business value, supports operational excellence, and enables scalable, standardized, and future-ready manufacturing processes.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis, Application Ownership, Product Ownership, or similar roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality, or engineering environments.
  • Experience with MES, shopfloor systems, or manufacturing applications.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate activities, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, manage reporting, and support delivery across business and technical teams.
  • Practical experience in Agile methodologies application (Scrum/Kanban), combined with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in NPI, pilot manufacturing, or site expansion initiatives.
  • Experience in global or multi-site organizations.
  • Exposure to analytics, automation, or digital manufacturing solutions.Exposure to project management and task tracking using Planview: Agile Place, JIRA,  GitLAB, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience in applying software design principles and best practices, with strong understanding of system integrations and end-to-end data flows across complex application landscapes.
  • Strong understanding of change management within software implementation initiatives, including assessing business impact, supporting user adoption, and enabling smooth transition to new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing without authority skills, Clear sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability in rapidly changing environments.
