Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industrialization of new products and processes
  • Cooperation with the R&D department to optimize products
  • Identifying and leveraging opportunities to reduce production costs through material and design changes, ensuring optimal use of available technologies
  • Analyzing production results in terms of process stability and its impact on non-conforming products
  • Optimizing production process parameters with regard to product quality, process efficiency, and manufacturing cost reduction
  • Creating process documentation for new implementations
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers of production materials

Our expectations:

  • Higher technical education (preferred fields: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials engineering, process engineering)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an engineer role within a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of product and production process industrialization techniques
  • Experience in project management and managing technological changes
  • Knowledge of production process analysis and optimization methods
  • Experience in automated assembly processes
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD / Creo / SolidWorks and/or Minitab / JMP will be an additional advantage
