Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

We’re looking for a

 

Product Line Manager – OSPC/Drop (EMEA)

to lead one of our most critical cable portfolios across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

 

 

This is a senior, high‑impact role with full end‑to‑end ownership of the OSPC and Drop cable portfolio in EMEA. You will shape product strategy, drive portfolio decisions, influence investments, and ensure profitable growth in a complex, fast‑moving infrastructure market. The role blends strategic leadership and hands‑on execution. You will work at the intersection of commercial, manufacturing, and technology, translating market needs into winning products while balancing cost, capacity, and long‑term value creation.

Reports to: EMEA Director, Cable PLM

About the Role

Outside Plant networks are the backbone of Data Center Interconnects, broadband expansion, 5G rollout, and fiber‑to‑the‑home deployment across EMEA. In this role, you will:

  • Own a regionally critical portfolio with direct P&L accountability
  • Influence capacity, and technology priorities
  • Partner with global and regional leaders to shape Corning’s long‑term OSPC strategy

This is an opportunity for a strong Product Line Manager to step into a visible leadership role with broad exposure and tangible business impact.

Main Responsibilities

  • Product & Portfolio Leadership
    • Define and execute the EMEA product line strategy aligned with global OSPC direction
    • Lead the full product lifecycle: roadmap development, new product introductions, portfolio optimization, and phase‑outs
  • Financial & Commercial Ownership
    • Full P&L responsibility, including revenue, gross margin, and cost performance
    • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams on value‑based pricing and deal strategy
  • Market & Competitive Insights
    • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across EMEA
    • Identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership
    • Work closely with Manufacturing, Technology, and Supply Chain to align product priorities, cost reduction, and capacity planning
    • Champion new product introductions, ensuring readiness across systems, pricing, supply chain, and commercial tools
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Line Specialists and matrix contributors
    • Set clear priorities, drive execution discipline, and foster collaboration across functions
    • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority in a matrix organization

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience & Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field (MBA preferred)
    • 7+ years of experience in product line management, product marketing, manufacturing, engineering, or a related business/technical role
    • Proven experience managing complex product portfolios in customer‑focused environments
    • Experience leading or coordinating teams, including matrixed organizations

    Skills & Capabilities

    • Strong business acumen with hands‑on experience in P&L ownership and financial analysis
    • Excellent communication skills; fluent English (Polish a plus)
    • Ability to balance customer needs, manufacturing realities, and long‑term profitability
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Confident decision‑maker comfortable with trade‑offs and ambiguity
