ROLE PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for product positioning, life cycle and strategy and profitability of the FOD product line; acts also as the liaison between Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Regional Engineering and Manufacturing; is responsible for implementing our Platform Strategy and prioritization of development of new products and competitive product analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Secure satisfaction of Corning customer needs with our FOD products in Data Center markets.
• Secure variable margins and product line profitability in line with company financial objectives.
• Implement Platform Strategy in FOD.
• Manage Product Life Cycle.
• Gather and implement voice of customer for our products, from interaction with Marketing and field visits with Sales Team and analyze competitive market information.
• Evaluate, recommend, define and implement new product introductions.
• Coordinate and prioritize development and modification of new and cost reduced products.
• Evaluate and secure FOD intellectual property and product patents.
• Provide technical support and training for Customer Care, Quotes, Applications Engineering and Sales/Marketing.
• Develop, implement and manage product line strategy and create floor pricing.
• Participate, create and lead different project teams.
• Actively participate in the FOD Business Team and develop long-term business plans for the product line.
• Prepare product information and Value Propositions for the product line.
• Work closely with Commercial Marketing to implement market strategies.
• Team with Supply Chain Management to consolidate forecasts and secure product delivery.
• Monitors health of business: sales (turnover), growth, margin, inventory, resources, manufacturing capabilities, product mix, market position.
• Work with Quality Team to secure impeccable quality of our products.
• Evaluate competitive product offerings with their strengths and weaknesses.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Engineering degree preferred.

• Experience in Fiber Optic Hardware would be preferred.

• Experience in a similar business area is appreciated.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and find solutions to a problem by consulting multiple experts/colleagues.

• Communicate both in writing and verbally complex business and technical issues.

• Work effectively as a team member and facilitator.

• Work effectively on multiple projects at the same time and drive them to a conclusion.

• Have initiative to take projects and drive them to a conclusion.

• 100% fluent in English, both written and oral; knowledge of Polish language would be an advantage.
