Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and test new advanced processing technologies, including equipment and tool design
- Manage cable development projects
- Analyze process data and statistics to improve processing capabilities
- Harmonize and optimize cable manufacturing processes to ensure easy and quick transfers between locations and production lines
- Communicate and document results in technical reports and presentations
- Monitor new trends in cable production technologies
- Collaborate closely with other development departments within the global organization
- Drive high innovation intensity (filed patents, published papers, presentations, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field
- 3 years of experience in a development/engineering department
- Proficiency in English and Polish
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of statistics
- Familiarity with fiber optic cable constructions and materials (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and global teamwork skills
- Experience in project management
- Willingness to work at different locations (up to 25% travel)
