Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and execute the EMEA Regional Engineering process automation roadmap
  • Build, coach and grow a high-performing team (controls + machine design + hands-on builders) and expand competencies needed to deliver business objectives fast
  • Design and deploy fully automated machines in cooperation with external suppliers - with strong technical oversight and pragmatic execution
  • Create an internal capability to design, build and deploy fast and cost-effective tabletop / semi‑automation solutions in EMEA
  • Industrialize machines and core units developed in Technology into Manufacturing
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing to deliver automation that reduces product cost and improves efficiency and reliability
  • Drive cross‑region alignment with NAFTA and APAC - standards and transfer of proven automation solutions
  • Ensure every machine meets safety, environmental and machine directive requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering  
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying innovative automation solutions
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects
  • Demonstrated ability to drive creative thinking and rigorous problem-solving
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with Contract automation or integration companies
  • Good use of English and Polish, both written and verbally
