Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and leading projects across process, technology, and measurement development deliverables in the areas of metrology (optical/dimensional testing of optical components and systems)

  • Designing, developing, and implementing testing solutions and measurement equipment/test systems for optical components
  • Collaborating with project team members and subject matter experts to design and execute experiments, driving fundamental process understanding across a wide range of technologies.
  • Keeping up to date with new metrological technology and measurement techniques to ensure that measurement capabilities meet the technical roadmaps.
  • Working in international, multidisciplinary project groups
  • Studying new trends in fiber optic technologies
  • Providing high innovation intensity, including filing patents, publishing papers, and delivering presentations

Our requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's or Master's degree

  • Experience in delivering solutions based on statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methods.

  • Experience with measurement technology development, implementation, and application.

  • Strong data analysis skills and a high level of attention to detail

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Programming skills, at least one of: Python, Matlab, LabView, C#, PLC’s

  • Experience/awareness of utilization of AI tools: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision (Tensorflow, OpenCV) will be an asset.

  • Excellent communication and global team working skills.

  • Good command of English and Polish languages
