Purpose of the Position:

 The Import and Export Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of import/export operations for China distribution center and manufacturing plant in China region.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Work with teams and suppliers and administrative authorities for the day to day import and export operation handling and management including but not limit to import and export documents preparations, permit and license application, shipments space booking, quotation obtain with procurement team, work with forwarder, brokerage and customs for the clearance, transportation, shipment delivery, in accurate, compliance and timely, and meet targets and requirements.

• Handling all the import and export system (e.g. PeopleSoft) for the operation, and ensure data obtain and maintained accurate and timely.

• Dealing with Customs (including Inspection & Quarantine Bureau that had merged with customs) for clearance or inspection related tasks and issues. • Tracking and tracing shipments, communicate status and/or irregularities/impact to relative parties effectively, and solve problem while where it arises.

• Cost and Expense of import and export checking, payment and reporting, drive cost reduction to meet cost target.

• Import and Export complaint handling, insurance and claims.

• Analysis of worldwide traffic and import and export rules, including rules of taxation and duties, and developing processes, policies, and recommendations for implementation.

• Provide training/workshop/updates to China local entities/ function /department /key-person regarding latest customs/trade rules

• Conduct periodic review of customs procedures and related documentation to ensure effective customs internal control and compliance risk free.

• Handling compliance relative audits and work with teams to close for any findings and/or where is need improves by actions and process optimization.

• Manage Import and Export supplier with KPI target, organize performance review meeting and driving performance.

• Liaise with cross team/ functions and/or oversea suppliers including inter-company on shipping performance improvement and problem resolve.

• Documents filing and archive as Customs and Company requirements

• Fully comply with Company EHS policy and requirements.

• Other job assigned by line supervisor and/or when it needed by business.

Project involved with:

• Handling Cooperate supply chain system (e.g. Elementum) and communications with stakeholders for any irregularities to minimize the impact to business.
