Key Responsibilities
- Use of control system fundamental via industrial controllers for achieving the desired target of the product/process parameters/attributes.
- Analyze control problems and propose solutions on the basis of classical or modern control theory.
- Design control system hardware and software for manufacturing process. Develop or modify control systems including data acquisition, data display, control charts and control algorithms.
- Work with process engineers to conduct process improvement experiments and manufacturing studies. Statistics analysis of manufacturing and experimental data to find process upset root causes and appropriate solution. It involves the application of fundamental knowledge and methods for understanding physical phenomena to achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products and processes.
- Participate in all stages of manufacturing processes.
- Transfer of technology to manufacturing operation with full implementation of training and documentation systems (SOP, SOS and Training).
Experiences/Education - Required
- 1~3+ years of control related work experience.
- Familiar with control systems hardware, software, and system integration & design.
- Fundamental understanding and work experience of system modeling and simulation.
- Fundamental understanding and work experience of classical control and modern control.
- Familiar with control system/algorithm design and implementation by control development tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, C++…etc.)
- Familiar with PC based programming (C++, C#, Python…etc.) and/or PLC programming skills (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens etc.) and work experience in precision motion control and/or advanced process control.
- Coordinated multi-axis and synchronized motion control design and implementation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Technical curiosity with willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and directly with project customers to scope out project scope, identify project requirements and deliverables, satisfy their objectives and timelines with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, ability to work in a diversity team-based environment and participate in a matrix project team to be a team player and perform well as an individual subject matter expert contributor.
