Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Melting Process Environment: Ensure stable conditions to maintain process quality and deliver output results.
- ECU/Enclosure Operations: Oversee daily standard operation settings compliance and address abnormal issues in coordination with PDC.
- Cold Repair System Retrofit: Ensure ECU/Enclosure system upgrades align with tank platform update requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Plan and execute cold repair ECU/Enclosure equipment overhaul to ensure reliability.
- Engineering Management: Oversee general and building maintenance-related engineering tasks
- SCADA System Management: Operate and maintain Facility system SCADA, ensuring effective monitoring and control.
- End-of-Life Equipment Management: Mitigate risks by developing and executing upgrade plans for aging equipment.
- Spare Parts Management: Ensure availability of spare parts to support equipment reliability and repairs.
- Issue Root Cause Analysis: Investigate abnormal issues, execute problem-solving plans, and conduct well-documented procedures, PPA, and toolbox meetings.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Optimize system operations to achieve cost-efficiency.
- Compliance: Adhere to Facility MOC management rules and compliance plans.
Experiences & Education
- College or above degree in Electrical or Automatic Control is preferred.
- > 2 yr. related working experiences
- In current position for 1 year or above.
- Good communication, coordination, and follow-up ability.
- Familiar with Process design, selection, purchase, start-up, and debug
- Good English proficiency in writing, listening and speaking and TOEIC 550 is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic electrical/ control components concepts
- Familiar with PI system, Process Book, data collection and analysis.
- Familiar with AB control system components.
- AB PLC coding, maintenance and trouble shooting.
- iFIX system operation, maintenance, programming and trouble shooting.
- Good English communication skill.
- Good trouble shooting skills.
- Technical curiosity.
- Strong process and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills/ multi-lingual
- Good communication, coordination, and follow-up ability.
- Creative and with strong continuous improvement work characteristic.
- English proficiency: TOEIC 550 is a plus.
