Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Role Purpose

Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, exploring technology collaboration and ensuring the technical resources to meet the business objectives
Deliver customer new-new technology roadmap in both display and non-display field especially at research stage and development stage through value chain engagement, expo demo, seminar, 3rd party reports and internal resources
Lead assigned tech. assessment reports (involving cross accounts, MAPs and value chain)
Understand CDTT customer new-new tech. focus/status and connect with internal resources(e.g. CT, DI, NBD and MAPs) for assessing joint collaboration opportunities
Propose collaboration opportunities and technical resources for customer engagement by account team
Execute assigned new tech. projects (involving cross accounts, MAPs and value chain)
Manage customer new tech projects process and provide resources
Conduct trainings with assigned new tech. to enhance knowledge for the entire team

Key Responsibilities

Education and Experiences

  • B.S or M.S. degree with 3+ years work experience in technical / engineering field in technical/engineering (chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science & engineering) field; Advanced degree in similar disciplines strongly encouraged
  • Experiences in technology strategy or innovation product development in Display & non-Display fields are encouraged

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering) or Masters of Science (Engineering or Applied Science)
  • Green Belt certification
  • Black belt (6 Sigma or Innovation) training
  • Project and/or manufacturing financial management knowledge
  • Knowledge of Innovation Stage-gate processes
