Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Role Purpose
Performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames. Participates in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Systems Management: Monitor and maintain Facility systems (Power, Water, Gas, HVAC, etc.) to meet plant utility requirements.
- Emergency Response: Address abnormal Facility system and production utility cases promptly.
- Operations and Maintenance: Plan and execute the operation, maintenance, improvement, and evaluation of Facility systems.
- Issue Resolution: Perform related tasks for Facility systems, ensuring timely solutions for system or equipment issues.
- Engineering Management: Oversee general and building maintenance-related engineering tasks.
- Abnormal Case Analysis: Analyze Facility system abnormalities and report findings with professional data analysis and clear logical processes.
- SCADA System Management: Operate and maintain Facility system SCADA, ensuring effective monitoring and control.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Optimize system operations to achieve cost-efficiency.
- Change Control and Communication: Meet Facility department requirements, maintain rigorous change control, and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
Experiences & Education
- College degree and major in Electrical Engineering and Automation, or other related.
- 2+ years of Facility experience in electrical power system at least.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good understanding of Electrical power system, include operation, and maintenance
- Facility / Manufacturing operation.
- Equipment trouble shooting skill.
- Positive working attitude.
- Work well within team group.
- Good working PCPD following.
- Electrical drawing reading.
